Hi,
Let me start
by introducing my self to all of you and giving
a little brief of what the Adams family are
like. I am Verlorene Z. Adams everyone calls me
summer, long story hehehehe. I am wife to Staff
Sergeant John Q. Adams of the Florida National
Guard with Delta company in Cocoa Beach. We have
two wonderful boys Brandon of 7 and Christopher
of 4. We also have mom living with us at home, I
call her mom but she is John's mom. We are a
very sweet tight family and very open to sharing
our love with many others.
John and I
have a very tight relationship and yeah like all
good hubbies he had to go to work which is what
the boys call it... In Iraq, during the time of
his activation in Iraq I had the pleasure of
meeting John Ghee during a radio station
interview with 102.07. We also had the chance to
receive the help from him on a monthly basis
with the gift cards which came in very handy
because it was as if dad was sending something
for them and not forgetting them.
Then John
was hurt in 2003 in Iraq due to an I.E.D
(Improvised Explosive Device) that exploded
near his vehicle and suffered traumatic
Brain Injury. Yeah times have been hard and
crazy but the one thing that keeps us going
is the love we share for one another. Plus
all the love we get from others as well.
We've all had to adjust to different things
and little by little we make improvements in
a day by day basis. The boys learn to
understand dad and while I learn to take a
role of not just wife but also friend,
buddy, and a great shoulder to cry on.
During the time of his activation in Iraq I

a radio station interview with 102.07. We

him on a monthly basis wi= th the gift cards

So many times
I was told that we don't have good people in
this world and that once all is done we are
forgotten about. But I come to prove people
wrong and show them how great this world is and
how we have families who love, care, share, and
provide concern for others in the great country
we call the United States. I sit and wonder what
would have been of my life if things went wrong,
or if I was left alone.
I just know
ALONE is not a word to worry about with help and
love from families like all of you. We are so
very very thankful for your help and assistance
to our family on these holidays. It means the
world to us the help that you have given us. We
are in a way very much alike, in the fact that
we care and we are true hearted humans who wish
the best for all.
On behalf of
my family and me we are grateful to you for not
forgetting our soldiers and the families. Thank
you again Thank you all.....Well, let me stop or
if not I will keep on going and going and don't
want to make you bored with me. I send you my
big smile and hugs to all while wishing you all
a very Sweet and Happy Holidays...
Summer Adams
